Clinic Policies
Detailed information on this will be provided for you to read and understand at the time of booking your first appointment. This will be updated regularly. A PDF of current clinic policies will be emailed to you at your 2 week reminder email prior to every appointment.
This information will cover what you can expect from our services and what our expectations are for patients who choose to attend the clinic.
It is vital that we share an understanding about what you can expect from us, and what we can expect from you, before you start to attend appointments. Working together requires trust and this works both ways.

Fee Information
Appointment Confirmation via SMS
You will receive a text message one week prior to your appointment asking you to confirm your attendance. It is important that you reply to this message promptly.

If we do not receive a confirmation, your appointment may be cancelled and offered to another patient on our waitlist.

Please ensure that we have your most up-to-date mobile number on file. While we make every effort to ensure messages are delivered, we rely on the accuracy of the contact details you provide.

Thank you for helping us manage appointments efficiently and reduce waiting times for all patients.
Script Policy
Dr Richardson is unable to provide scripts for patients who are not attending review appointments and have no appointments booked. This includes past patients.
Scripts requested outside of consultations are likely to require a script writing fee, which is higher if they are authority scripts, due to the amount of time and effort needed. Please contact the clinic for further information.
It may take up to 5 business days for scripts to be issued outside of consult. Dr Richardson strongly recommends early notification if patients require scripts. If she is on leave, please attend your referring GP who may be able to provide an interim script.
Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and you may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. To ensure fair access to appointments for all patients, we kindly ask that you notify us as early as possible if you are unable to attend.

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, based on business days. Notifications received after this time, including on weekends, may result in the full consultation fee being charged. No-shows will also be charged the full fee automatically.

Please note that deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 48 hours or in the case of a no-show. These deposits may be applied toward the consultation fee, where relevant.

If you or your child becomes unwell with a contagious illness, we ask that you do not attend in person. We will do our best to offer alternative arrangements, such as telehealth, where appropriate.

As appointments are in high demand, late cancellations or missed appointments limit our ability to offer care to other patients. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
